What is your primary product or service?
We are industrial hygienists and indoor air quality specialists. The primary job of an industrial hygienist is to help organizations keep their employees safe. This can mean testing for mold, asbestos, chemicals, allergens, noise levels - and then providing solutions to any problems encountered. It can also mean designing and checking safety programs for industrial and construction sites. Our professionals also act as expert witnesses in litigation involving chemical, biological and environmental exposures.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Robert E. Sheriff, CIH CSP, president and CEO of Atlantic Environmental, started his career as a safety, health, and environmental manager for a chemical company, and also worked as a loss control representative for an insurance company.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
What sets us apart is that we can provide a full range of services in the industrial hygiene field as opposed to only "safety" or only "mold" services. We strive to be the go-to company for organizations seeking solutions to their complex indoor air quality and occupational health and safety issues.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are based in Dover, New Jersey. We also have offices in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles.
