Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center
The Raptor Trust is one of the premier wild bird rehabilitation centers in the United States. Located in central New Jersey, the Trust includes a hospital with state-of-the-art medical facilities, quality exterior housing for several hundred birds, and an education building.
The Raptor Trust is open to the public seven days a week. Visitors are afforded a unique opportunity to view at close range the many hawks, eagles, falcons and owls that are permanent residents at the facility.

The Raptor Trust is a lovely place to visit. Many permanently disabled resident birds of prey are on display in large specially designed aviaries where they can safely and comfortably live out their lives. You may also catch a glimpse of the huge flight cages, hidden among the trees and away from visitor disturbance, where injured wild birds heal and recover before their eventual release. So different from a zoo, this NJ gem offers a unique experience to visitors and guests free of charge (save a recommended $2.00 donation.) Check their website for information on public education programs, scheduling group programs, and volunteer opportunities.
