What is your primary product or service?
We offer sound-based therapies that support making foundational change with learning, development and wellness challenges.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Davis Model of Sound Intervention is recognized as the standard for the correct administration of any sound-based therapy. Ms. Davis is an audiologist, educator and credentialed in 20 different sound-based therapies and has developed a unique system for making change by using "The Tree of Sound Enhancement Therapy" as the foundation for her Diagnostic Evaluation for Therapy Protocol. Ms. Davis initially became interested in sound-based therapy when searching for answers for why children with histories of middle ear infections and central auditory processing difficulties had difficulties attending and learning in school. As a result she discovered an entirely new field for helping people in the future. Her initial discoveries are explained in her book "Sound Bodies through Sound Therapy".
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There is no other business like The Davis Center as it is the model for the future. Centers may administer some of the therapies but not with the philosophy established in The Davis Model of Sound Intervention. The entire person is helped; not the diagnosis of the person.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we only have one location but we are searching for investors to take the concept to many locations. Ms. Davis does travel to various locations around the world and offers the diagnostic evaluation and therapies can then be administered in the client's home.
Which areas do you service?
People come to us from around the world because we offer at home programs but our client base who comes to our center is typically from the NJ, NY, PA areas
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Dorinne S. Davis is the President/Founder of The Davis Center and its model of intervention. Although she runs the company and its overall operations, the Office Manager, Nancy Puckett-Dunn maintains the daily operations and flow of activity. Our two sound therapists, Laura Darby and Elizabeth Meade, provide the therapies to our clients.
What are your hours of operation?
We are opened from 9:30 to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
